This is a really very good crime and mystery book. Sam Bowden has a happy life with his wife and children. But everything changes when Max Cady, a criminal from Sam's past, gets out of prison. Cady blames Sam for his time in jail and wants to get revenge.
Instead of attacking Sam directly, Cady starts to follow and scare Sam's family. He is very smart and stays just within the law, so the police cannot stop him. The story is very tense because Sam has to decide how he can protect his family.
