"Not with flowers, but with the truth!"
Today, March 8... For many, it is celebrated as "Women's Day". However, we know that it is not a celebration; it is a commemoration. Because March 8 is a history written with the voices of women rising against inequality, exploitation and injustice.
In 1908 in New York, 129 women workers' struggle for better working conditions ended in a factory fire. They burned to death. But their fire did not go out. Today, those flames still burn in the eyes of every woman seeking justice. Because still;
Equal pay for equal work is not given.
Women cannot walk freely on the street.
Femicides cannot be stopped.
Today is a day when we should not say "happy day", but we should say that your rights should not be usurped. Today is a day to fight for an equal and free life, not to receive flowers.
Don't stay silent! Be a voice, be a light, shoulder the struggle!
