Hegemony is primarily a strategy for the gaining of the active consent of the masses through their self-organization, starting from civil society, and in all the hegemonic apparatuses: from the factory to the school and the family. And this has the aim of creating a collective political will, at once national and popular: a historic bloc of socialism capable of unifying economic base and superstructure.
