5/5 Stars (%89/100) Probably the best graphic novel I've ever read. (In terms of handbook or guide) If you are new to reading comics this is probably a gold mine for you. Even when you are not very new, it is still useful. I am more or less familiar with graphic novels but I often find myself confused since there are so many materials out there. There are also other graphic novels that make everything even more complicated because of the different time period that they deal with. In short, you need some kind of a guide so as not to lose interest in comics. The book talks about 25 essential graphic novels briefly to introduce them. Though I expected only that, it offers much more. The authors give detailed timeline and outline of specific superheroes. There are also other lists like reading list for all DC novels and so on. On top of that, the book is free and I am pretty sure I'll be coming back to it often.
