Raina Telgemeier San Francisco’da büyüdü ve sonrasında New York’a taşınıp Görsel Sanatlar Üniversitesi’nde İllüstrasyon Bölümü okudu. Çizgi romanları Ignatz, Cybil ve Eisner Ödüllerine aday oldu. İnternette, çeşitli dergilerde ve antolojilerde yer aldı. Uyarlayıp resimlediği “The Baby-sitters Club” çizgi romanları 2007 yılında YALSA’nın ‘Gençler için Harika Çizgi Romanlar’ listesine ve Booklist’in ‘Gençler için En İyi 10 Çizgi Roman’ listesine girdi. Eşi ile birlikte yazdığı son eseri “X-Men: Misfits”, Anzu tarafından resimlendi ve New York Times çoksatanlar listesine girdi.
