This is a retelling of the famous Galatea and Pygmalion myth in which the statue Galatea is brought to life by Aphrodite and the sculptor falls in love with his own work. Though I enjoyed it, it felt kind of rushed. Just I was really getting into it, the story ends abruptly. It would be much better if this was a novella. Yet, I liked Miller's version of Galatea who can stand strong as a female hero. Like her other books, feminist elements are there. I usually enjoy Miller's books so this was easy and fun to read.
