Kazuo Ishiguro, 8 Kasım 1954 doğumlu Japon asıllı İngiliz romancı. Nagazaki kentinde doğan İşiguro 1960 yılında ailesiyle birlikte İngiltere'ye göçtü. University of Kent'i bitirdikten sonra (1978) University of East Anglia'da yaratıcı yazarlık yüksek lisansı yaptı. 1982 yılında İngiliz yurttaşlığına geçti.
İngilizce edebiyat dünyasının çok sevilen yazarları arasında bulunan Ishiguro, 4 kez saygın edebiyat ödülü Man Booker Prize'a aday gösterildi. 1989 yılında ise "The Remains of the Day" (Günden Kalanlar) romanıyla Man Booker Prize ödülüne layık görüldü.
Yazar Kazuo Ishiguro, 2015 yılında yazdığı ve VI.yy. İngiltere'sini anlattığı " 
Gömülü Dev " (The Buried Giant) adlı romanıyla 2017 yılında Nobel Edebiyat Odülüne layık görülmüştür.
2005 yılında yazdığı Beni Asla Bırakma (Never Let Me Go) romanı 2010 yılında yönetmen Mark Romanek tarafından aynı adla sinemaya aktarılmıştır.
