sunrise, as a bloodletting. let the bleed night's dark veins allow to the night to spit it out all of its milky blue, in its veins, that will feel like crushing a jar of night in sky. and when the time comes, all you have to do is watching how blue blood will spread to the sky. maybe, it's not bloodletting, it's blueletting, or, maybe it's just sunrise as a stabbing each other as a stealing a sun-necklace or a moon-crown from each other like two siblings day and night over and over again.

It is just amazing to see how young Ishiguro managed to create a spooky atmosphere in his first book. This is my second read of him after the A Family Supper and I quite liked his style. *spoiler* For the ending, what the actual heck? From the second half onwards, I keep myself thinking "Etsuko is Sachiko, and Keiko is Mariko" and this belief grew stronger. There are dozens of slight hints but I'm still not sure about it. Another theory is that Etsuko is the child murderer. Children around the town getting murdered, and the killer's approach is hanging them. Keiko hangs herself too (Maybe Etsuko did it). *spoiler*

2) Although I was cold, I didn’t wanna go home. I just wanted to leave memories that I could remember years later. Even after years, I don’t believe that what happened under the snowfall will be forgotten. Maybe leave a moment alone or with a friend you love that you can fit in a photo frame. You will not see each other in years, maybe you will forget each other, but when you turn your head to the past, you will remember those beautiful moments you left in the photo frame. And when you look at that photo frame, you will remember that you dreamed of the future years.

A very tidy ghost. Isn't?
Rick, you're beginning to forget everything.' Another time they were late for work, and they left their coffee cups on the table. When they got home, the coffee cups had been washed up, and were standing on the table. Rick laughed. 'Maybe there's a ghost in the house,' he said. 'A very tidy ghost.' 'Don't be silly,' she said, 'it's a new house, not an old castle. There's no ghost.'

There was a good possibility this wasn’t going to go well. But the more Hannah turned over the idea of recording Henry’s shanties, the more it felt right. Inevitable. At the very least, she needed to voice the concept. To try. For Henry. For herself. And maybe she needed to try for Fox, too. Not because he expected or required her to make leading-lady moves, but because she couldn’t encourage him to reach beyond his capabilities if she wasn’t willing to do the same.
