agatha folded her arms. “well, you didn’t apologize to me back then, so why should i apologize to her?”
“because you’re a better person than me, obviously.”
“is that the defense you’re going to use in every argument from now until we die?”

“that’s why i’m not an ever. don’t have anyone who’d care enough about me to save me.”

dot turned to see hester looking right at her.
“that’s not true at all,” hester said.
dot blushed.
“you’re not allowed to take it off,” he whispered.
“not even a ‘good morning’ before you start bossing me around,” said agatha. “besides, are you trying to give orders to a queen?”
