Create the best team possible. Because there must be reason why this team wins and not the other ones, because the other ones also try their absolut best to win.
Dont waste time by walking to each other, not knowing anything about each other, not knowing the problems of each other, not being interested in each other. My job as a manager is to help them to grow together. I need to create situations where they can do that. And if I need to be hash to everyone, so that they can get together, I had to do it.
It is about they need to understand why we are a very special team in a very hard and difficult competition. But we need to find a reason, why we deserve it more than any other competitors. And people try to convince today with knowledge, but it is about how close can we really grow together to go out there and smash the sh*t out of them.
The idea is to grow as close as possible to be willed to walk through fire together.
You need to create a culture, evironment, situation and a vibe where everybody realizes "this is special". The underlining message must be "this is special and now lets go for it, this is worth it and this means more for all of us, that we can really fight more for it".
One part of the togetherness is to know everybody by their names, even the kitchen staff, the garnder and others. This creates a special environment where we show respect. This special environment was for me the most important. At that time we created our own world, which was more important than the outside world.
