Luna Lovegood

Worrying has a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde quality to it. With its promise of solving your problems, at first it can seem good and helpful. Worry seems to be doing its dutiful best to help you survive by trying to solve whatever problem is at hand. But don’t be fooled, because its guts are rotten, and it quickly turns on you when a solution doesn’t come. Like someone who has fallen into a raging river, worry calls to you to help from the shore. It frantically grabs on to your hand or leg, causing you to lose balance and get sucked into the rapids with it, or into a never-ending whirlpool of anxiety where you don’t know which way is up.
Reklam
This anxious feeling throws their worrying into hyperdrive, as they try to figure out what they are supposed to worry about. When they can’t find anything specific, they start getting in the habit of worrying about just about any old darn thing in the future, whether it warrants worrying or not.
That’s because unexpected rewards fire off dopamine in your brain at a much higher rate than expected ones.
