Its so problematic in many ways..
i think its a sequel book just for the movie fans. it doesn’t follow up any character development in the first book so i felt like characters were rewritten. i am deeply surprised how every feeling and relationship got connected to father-son bond in a very concerning disturbing way. not to mention age gaps in every relationship (also got connected to father-son bond in a freud way?). there were at least 3 different attempts to build a plot for the book but every one of them got discarded so nothing really happened in the book? very problematic disturbing and concerning book.

elio and oliver shouldn’t end up together. and why would a father name their second son after a man who literally ruined first son’s life?

Ne yazık ki her ne kadar işi cinsiyet konusunda ele almak istemesem de bu kitap beni buna çok itti. Başından sonuna bir erkeğin kırılgan egosunun nasıl tatmin olmadığında başka bir kadının hayatını mahvettiğini okuyorsunuz. Buna da amok diyerek bir cinnet hali verilmiş. İşler tam tersi olduğunda kadın ne yazık ki zayıf ve histeri olurdu. Sinir krizi, cinnet, amok vb terimlere odaklanılmak için okunacak bir kitaptan ziyade insanların basit özgüven problemlerinin aslında başkaları için basit olmadığını görmek için okunacak bir kitap.
I have spent some time with this manga now. With the anime going on i was repeatedly on and off from the story. The overall plot is great but the storytelling is what makes this series less appreciated among the other well known series. After watching “Dabi’s Dance” episode i wanted to go back reading the manga. This volume was a filler and an opening to the new arc. I still do wonder how they’ll tie everything together so i’ll be reading, however I don’t think i’ll be enjoying reading it. They keep dragging the original plot here and there which makes me a bit tired. I just wanna see how things will turn out for Izuku.
