This book is a very short, strong horror story set in the 1920s. The main idea is simple: the Ku Klux Klan are not just mean people; they are actual monsters (like creatures from a scary movie). They grow stronger because of hate and racism.
The heroes are a small group of Black women. They fight these monsters using magic weapons and a powerful, spiritual dance from their culture.
It's a fast read one. It uses the monster fight to talk about how people have to fight hate and racism in the real world.
The topic is nice but the writing style is not my type. So did not enjoy it a lot, sorry.
