Carl Brockelmann,Türkiyatçı Alman doğu bilimcisisidir. 1868 senesinde Almanya’da (Rostock) doğdu. Sâmi dilleri sâhasında tahsil gördü. 1890’da doktor, 1893’te Breslav (bugün Polonya’da) Üniversitesi'nde doçent, 1900 senesinde de profesör oldu. Halle, Königsberg ve Berlin Üniversitelerinde dersler verdi. 1935’te ayrıldıysa da 1947’de yeniden Halle Üniversitesi'ne döndü. 1956’da öldü.
