Such a raw and deeply personal work that i don’t know how to rate it. I was so confident that it was going to be incredibly relatable in so many ways yet surprisingly it didn’t really resonate with me. Also this was my first time reading a manga!?

L’écriture révolutionnaire d’Hélène Cixous. That’s how it’s done. In her essay, she accomplishes what she aims to accomplish, her écriture féminine is revolutionary and i think that’s beautiful. It’s a love letter to womanhood, female writers and the destructive and reconstructive force of the feminine act of writing, as well as a hate letter to the government of phallocratic ideologies.

royalty au set in scotland with enemies to friends to lovers, scottish princess x american ‘commoner’ girlfriends and “and they were roommates!” tropes!? yeah, i’ll devour that shit right up. it’s nothing fresh and actually quite generic when it comes to royalty aus, we’ve seen this exact plot in hetero books and fanfics so many times. but i’m not complaining, lesbians deserve their own YA royalty au romcoms, with all that fluff and cute stuff. my only complaint is that the final chapter was too weak and overall i found the whole book a bit underwhelming.
