Children of Dune is missing the elements that worked so well in Dune: no heroes, no unexpected, shocking deaths, no common goals, no building up of characters.
This book is so dreadfully boring. When I was at the 80% mark, I could have DNFed the book--I just didn't care how it ended. That is how little I was invested in the characters and in the story.
Herbert over relies on fan favorite characters, and the characters have the same discussion over and over and over again. Perhaps Herbert thought the reader fell asleep during sections of the book?
Ugh, and why do you name to different characters the same name? Did the author have a lot of Leto merch that he needed to get rid of?
Considering that The Lord of the Rings is one of the most popular books of the last century, it's surprising to see how few reviews there are here. Bir Uluslararası İlişkiler öğrencisinin kesinlikle okuması gereken bir kitap olduğunu düşünüyorum. Keşke ben de bölümdeyken okuma fırsatı bulabilseydim. Maalesef ben mezun olduktan sonra yayımlanmış .
Bunların yanında yazarın dili de çok akıcı ve dinlemesi de çok keyifliydi. Emeği geçen herkesin kalemine/ emeğine sağlık. Son dönemde yayımlanan en başarılı romanlardan biri…

This book was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! I can safely say that this is my favorite Lauren Asher book so far. With the previous books of hers I always felt like there was something missing for me to be a favorite of mine but this one...
Julian is one of Lauren Asher’s best MMC! Julian and Dahlia are so adorable together and I loved their story from beginning to end. Their healing journey was beautiful. Their pranks, their banter, and heartache, I loved eveything! This book has all the warm and cozy feelings with the heartwarming family members and a beautiful setting of a lake side town. Highly recommend!

Geçtiğimiz yıllarda, kitaplar, çizgi romanlar, sesli hikayeler hatta tişört üstüne basılan yazılar üstünden ilerleyen bir hikaye olan Time Lord Victorious, uzun zamandır okumak/dinlemek/izlemek istediğim bir seriydi ancak tüm bunları takip edebilmek zaman isteyeceği için bir türlü başlayamamıştım. Sonunda başladım ve şu an için ilginç bir başlangıç yaptık ancak daha tam olarak genel Time Lord Victorious teması ve olaylarının temellerini atıyor olduğumuz için ne bekleyeceğimi bile bilmiyorum. Heyecanla seriye devam edeceğim umarım.

It was good but not as good as the previous one in my opinion. It felt rushed and I felt like something was missing (that "oomph" in the previous volume). In this book, we learn more about Gabimaru's past and Iwagakure in general. That was very interesting and the new characters also look appealing. However, as I said the whole volume felt too rushed. I understand we are getting close to the end but the series did not have this problem before. I also hate pretty much 90% of the new characters (not because of how they are written but because they are evil, especially that Shugen guy). We'll see what happens next.

The concept is good: Twins created by alchemy who have reality-bending powers related to language and maths. However, the execution falls short in my opinion. The world feels dull and empty. It's mostly plot-driven in my opinion, and that's why I didn't really care about any of the characters maybe Reed at some point. Eventually, finishing it became a chore because it was too long and overly complicated (jumping from time to time, place to place). I love unique sci-fi but this was closer to fantasy because the science element is mostly missing. This was my first book by the author and I'm fairly disappointed because she is an award-winning author and this book apparently won some too. I don't know how some people "worship" the book and the author or that this book is THE best book they've ever read. In short, you could give it a go, but don't expect too much.

We trouble life by the care of death, and death by the care of life
To be honest I chose that book randomly to read and amazed by different perspectives of the writer. Young ha Kim’s that book consists of four different stories in each: Diary of a murderer, the origin of life, missing child and the writer. As the half of book is about “diary of a murderer” It was the story that has the neatest and interesting storyline. That part is about a murderer’s making himself to remember everything in order to protect her daughter from another murderer although he diagnosed Alzheimer’s at an old age..
The rest of the story and the end will shock you because you need to remember that you read whole from the Alzheimer’s perspective :)
And those other 3 stories are shorter than “diary of a murderer” but I think they’re worth to read especially “missing child” can make you think about the life over and over again..
