Sen kocaman çöllerde bir kalabalık gibisin,
Kocaman denizlerde ender bir balık gibisin.
Bir ısıtır, bir üşütür, bir ağlatır, bir güldürür;
Sen hem bir hastalık hem de sağlık gibisin.
The sage has overcome life
by this very understanding and attitude:
What comes, goes.
What is born, dies.
What is preserved, deteriorates.
Whatever is manifested, returns to emptiness.
I am that emptiness.
I am without name or form.
I am the unchanging and timeless.
There is a great freedom in realising that things don’t
have to be perfect in the way your mind would like.
Things are whatever they are—that’s not what makes
them fi ne. What makes them fi ne is that you are
nothing. Th ings don’t have to be something when you
are nothing. Being nothing is the greatest freedom.
