4/5 Stars (%77/100) This was pretty good! If there is even the slightest hint of time travel in a book, you can count me in. That's why I wanted to read this one along with a nice review from one of my friends. The reason why it took me almost a month to finish this is the fact that I chose the audiobook version. It was good but mostly I didn't have time to listen to it and preferred other books (I read at least 2 and up to 4 books at the same time). I'll talk about the book briefly and explain why I liked it. The book revolves around a cafe that allows its customers to time travel but there is, of course, a catch. You can only meet people who visited the cafe, you cannot change anything and you have to come back before the coffee gets cold (one of the best names for a book tbh). There are 4 main stories; Fumiko who tries to get back together with his boyfriend, Kohtake the nurse who tries to find a letter from her husband with Alzheimer's, Hirai who wants to get in touch with his sister and finally the co-owner of the cafe Kei who tries to talk to her unborn daughter in the future. I don't think these are spoilers because there is much more to the book from these couple of lines. The characters felt very real as if you are also in the cafe with them and this is one of the reasons why I didn't get bored reading the book. From the getgo, I didn't think Fumiko's story would interest me but it is probably my favorite mainly because I loved Fumiko. The second story was pretty sad and depressing because I find Alzheimer's super scary. The third one was probably my least favorite story but if I were to think of it as a standalone story, it is impressive. The last one was probably the most interesting out of these four and the one which was the most sci-fi in my opinion.
