the best we can do is educate everyone on what consent is and how to get it. consent is about human communication, which is messy and unreliable. we are always going to disagree sometimes. we have to keep talking about it, and normalize more communication before and during sex.
women are socialized from such an early age to prioritize pleasing others over their own feelings. if we stop doing that, then more women are going to be empowered throughout their life to take themselves away from situations they aren't enjoying.
you can't ignore feelings. if you're drunk you can't just say "i'm not drunk" and then drive. just like if you're sad, you can't simply declare "i'm not sad" and be horny. you have to eat a big kebab and wait eight hours before you can drive after drinking. to get over feelings, you have to acknowledge them and find a way to get through them.
