In 1848 Seneca Falls Convention happened. Elizabeth Cady Stanton was one of those women who attended and played an important role not only in the convention but also in women's movement in general. This speech is considered to be the start of women's movement and it eventually led to admitting the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution. This essay (originally a speech) deals with many issues like women's suffrage, marriage, and inequality. It is extremely important and a must-read if you are especially interested in feminist theory.
