When I read the story, with the influence of the perspective from which the story was written, I felt the sadness, desperation, sacrifice, and agony feelings of together. Brutality of the Holocaust is given in a more emotional tone with the theme of motherhood. What struck me when I read it was not only the loss of a mother's child, but also the full reality of the genocide, one of the most shameful events in human history. In addition, It impressed me deeply that Stella witnessed the dirty side of the world, lost her innocence and tried to grow up before she could live her childhood, even though she was just a little girl.
