In Amis’s famous novel, London Fields, the witty language is used and highlighted in the book repatedly. With the use of wit and pan (word play) Amis creates one of the most intelligent written novel ‘London Fields’. These uses of high elevated language and word plays also gives us the hints of postmodern fiction. As the novel is considered one of the best novel representing postmodernism, one can appreciate it due to the style that the novel is written, by means of wit and language. To give examples from the book; -It was fixed. It was written. The murderer was not the murderer. But the murderee had always been a murderee. The quote from Samson Young foreshadows that the real murderer is not the one we think, it will change. However the murderee ‘Nicola’ will always be the victim, not be affected by the inconstant murderer. - I know what his poetry will be about. What poetry is always about. The cruelty of the poet’s mistress. In this quote we can also sense the metaphor that is made to Nicola. Here Samson , as a writer, claims that the poets are writing poetry due to the relationship between their mistresses. It is known that Young also writes a novel about Nicola, creating the same plot with the poets he criticizes. -I close my eyes, trying to see a way- how do writers dare do what they do ? – and there is just chaos. It seems to me that writing brings trouble with it, moral trouble, unexamined trouble. Even to the best. -When God got mad he was a jealous God. He had other planets, thanks, and in better parts of the universe. He promised plague, famine mile-high tides, sound-speed winds and terror, ubiquitous and incessant terror, with blood flowing bridle deep. He threatened to make her old and keep her that way forever… Cross that firebreak and then cross that

“Do No Harm: Stories of Life, Death and Brain Surgery” is an intimate tour of the world inside our skulls, guided by one of the UK’s foremost neurosurgeons, Henry Marsh. It’s an extraordinary voyage into the psyche of a brain surgeon, plunging into the thrilling peaks and devastating troughs of this high-stakes profession. Marsh’s narrative is refreshingly candid, searingly honest, and deeply human. Imagine holding someone’s life in your hands, the scalpel poised over the intricate maze that houses thoughts, feelings, and reason. Every cut could either restore life or rob it. Marsh introduces us to this exhilarating and terrifying reality, revealing the fierce joy of a successful operation and the profound despair when things go awry. “Do No Harm: Stories of Life, Death and Brain Surgery” doesn’t shy away from the harsh realities of being a neurosurgeon. There are poignant tales of triumphs and heartbreaking disasters, haunted by the shadow of mortality. There’s the girl who wakes up after surgery, her life saved but her personality forever changed. There’s the young man left in a vegetative state because of a millimeter’s misjudgment. And there’s the lingering echo of regret that colors the life of a surgeon. But amidst the sorrow and guilt, Marsh finds space for humor, the dark kind that often serves as a coping mechanism in the face of incessant pressure. The neurosurgical landscape is vividly captured, with tales that range from frustrating battles with hospital bureaucracy to nerve-wracking surgical procedures, all set against the backdrop of a bustling modern hospital. Yet, at the heart of “Do No Harm,” beyond the gripping tales of life, death, and brain surgery, there’s a profound lesson. A lesson about hope. Marsh’s narrative is a testament to the

Mary Lennox, our protagonist, is a 10-year-old girl who lives in India. Daughter of a rich British couple, from a young age she was kept out of her parents' sight, for they did not wish to have a child. Mary is raised by an Ayah and the rest of the house servants, who spoil her, letting her do as she pleases so as not to upset her. Tragedy interrupts the course of Mary's life: A cholera epidemic breaks out and, in a matter of days, ends with most of the inhabitants of the house dying, including her parents. As she has no other relatives, she will be sent to live with her uncle, Mr. Craven, in England. Misselthwaite Manor is a big and mysterious country house, and the owner is seldom there. Years before, something terrible happened: Mrs. Craven had a fatal accident inside her favorite garden. Ever since then, Mr. Craven has detested the house and has a special aversion towards that garden in particular. That is why he decides to close its doors forever and bury the key. This garden and the mystery that surrounds it will be the one thing that interests Mary about the property. But, as she will soon discover, the garden is not the only secret Misselthwaite hides. The descriptions of the garden were something I liked very much the first time I read the story because they made it sound truly magical. I also recall being fond of Dickon's first appearance, when he brought Mary the seeds, and they started working together to make the garden beautiful again. The author is permanently associating gardening and outdoor activities with health and happiness. She also emphasizes it with Dickon's presence, as this character has a very special bond with nature.

Letter from an Unknown Woman begins with the return of R, a well-known writer, to Vienna. After the trip, R finds the letter that starts with the address "You who never knew me" interesting and starts to read the letter written on a letter he has received, and from this point on, he starts a journey in which he will look at his life from a different window. Written by a woman, the novel tells the life of a woman, which begins with the death of her child and ends with her own death. The woman falls in love with the man platonically from the first moment she sees him and does not give up on him until the end of her life. Although She shows no affection, she continues to live by deeming it a blessing to be with the man only once or twice. Until her child dies. The woman decides to write this letter when she loses the most precious treasure left to her from R. However, if the woman does not die, she decides not to give the letter to the man and to remain silent forever. As it has done so far. In fact, although the woman is always in the man's life, the man never remembers the woman. Even when the letter is over and everything is revealed, the woman is always a ghost to the man. The woman has a difficult life. When R was first involved in the woman's life, he was only 13 years old and led a poor life with his mother, who lost his father at a young age. Even before he saw him, he was impressed by his way of life and compared him more to a geography teacher in his mind. When she first saw him, she was smitten with him and she began to observe him. The woman, who has been invisible all her life, lives as if her life is trapped in a cave where there is no light when her mother marries someone else and has to move to another place, and goes to the man. She knocks on the door

O yüzden dinleyin diye tavsiye edemiyorum; merak ederseniz dinlersiniz. Sanal reklam (ya da adı her ne ise ) çoktu. << Camel sigarasını Bic çakmağı ile yaktı; BMW motosikleti ile kaldırıma yanaştı; Takanaşi marka süt aldı...>> gibi. Sinema,
