Sadece canlılar mı ölür, peki ya kitaplar? Kitapların da bir ruhu yok mudur?
Kitap sektörünün ve yayıncılığın zor günler geçirdiği günümüzde, acilen bir şeyler yapılmazsa eğer kitaplar ölecek ve kültür büyük bir darbe görecektir. Kitapların ölmesi demek, toplumun hafızasının ölmesi demektir ki bu da ciddi bir zihin krizi yaratır. Bizler sadece iklim krizi ve küresel salgınlar değil farkına varamasak da, zihin krizleri ve teknolojik salgınlar da yaşarız. Kitapsız kalan bir milletin hayat damarları yavaş yavaş kurur ve fikir yakıtıyla aydınlanamayan beyinler gün geçtikçe karanlıklarda boğulmaya başlar. Buna ben ‘’modern cehalet’’ adını veriyorum. Bizler kitaplardan uzaklaşıp modern çağın cahilleri hâline gelirsek eğer, geçmişle bağlarımız kopar; kültürel mirasımız ve geleneklerimiz yok olmaya başlar, düşünce ve bilinç ekseninimiz ise gittikçe daralır.
Diyeceksiniz ki -e kitap ve yapay zekâ- kitapların yerini alabilir. Sizce gerçekten alabilir mi? Ruhu olmayan bir makina, beynimizi tek başına tatmin etmeye ve çalıştırmaya yetebilir mi? Dikkat etmezsek eğer bizler de dijital insanlar hâline gelip robotlaşacağız ve robotlardan hiçbir farkımız kalmayacak. Empati ve duygu yoksunu bir toplum olmak ise ileride ciddi suçlar ve tehlikeler doğurabilir. Dikkat ediniz teknoloji gelişiyor ama insanlar bir türlü mutlu olamayıp antidepresanlara başvuruyor. Tüm bu nedenlerle teknolojiden uzak mı kalacağız? Elbette hayır.
Teknoloji baş döndürü bir hızla ilerlerken dikkat etmemiz gereken en önemli şey, beynimizi ve geleceğimizi teknolojiye ve yapay zekâya esir etmemektir. Bizler, bilinçli bir şekilde geleceğe hazır olmalı, beynimizin kontrolünü ele almalıyız. Beynimizi esir edersek sadece elimizdekileri değil geleceğimizi de kaybetmiş
