One of the world’s leading theorists of astropolitics is Everett Dolman, Professor of Strategy at the US Air Force Air Command and Staff College and author of the prescient Astropolitik: Classical Geopolitics in the Space Age. Professor Dolman coined one of the field’s best-known maxims: ‘Who controls low Earth orbit controls near-Earth space. Who controls near-Earth space dominates Terra. Who dominates Terra determines the destiny of humankind.’

We let ourselves drift with every breeze; we are frightened at uncertainties, just as if they were certain. We observe no moderation. The slightest thing turns the scales and throws us forthwith into a panic.
