İstanbul doğumlu olan Ozan Varol, Cornell Üniversitesi'ne ve uzay bilimleri dalında okumak için 17 yaşında Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'ne taşındı. Oradayken, Mars'a iki roket gönderen 2003 Mars Keşif Rovers projesi için operasyon ekibinde görev yaptı. Daha sonra, bu gezegende gezegenler arası sıçramalar yapmak için bir hukuk profesörü oldu. Yüksekokullarda ve yüksek lisans okullarında verilen çok sayıda ödüllü makale yazmıştır. Çalışmaları, BBC, TIME, CNN, Washington Post, Slate ve Dış Politika dahil olmak üzere yerli ve yabancı medyada yer aldı. Kontrariyen düşünce hakkında yazıyor.
