The politicization of humanitarian issues further complicates the security situation. Türkiye was the first country to introduce a Mediation Booklet, outlining the principles and best practices for mediation at the international level. The initiative has significantly contributed to mediation, diplomacy by institutionalizing mediation as a primary tool for conflict resolution within the UN and regional organizations.
