Reading witcher in english is fascinating. Even though its translated directly from Polish, English sometimes flattens the raw, gritty Slavic wit, but the dark atmosphere still punches through. I love how this book tears down pretty fairy tales. It shows a magical world ruined by ugly human realities such as injustice, racism, and violence. It proves that no matter the universe, human nature always brings the same disgusting problems. Since I’ve played all the games, I didn't have to build this world from scratch. I felt like I was returning home, totally immersed from page one. Plus, every character is so distinct you instantly adopt them. Dandelion, especially, is brilliant, his dramatic bard energy perfectly balances the grim reality. The core of the book for me is Geralt. He acts like a heartless mutant who only kills for coin, forcing himself to believe he has no feelings because society expects him to be cold. But underneath, he is incredibly soft hearted. I related to him deeply. People often call me emotionless too. But I know how much I actually care. When it matters, sometimes I act way more thoughtful and genuinely considerate than the people who constantly brag about how sensitive they are. Like Geralt, being guarded doesn't mean you don't feel. Some dislike that this is just a collection of scattered short stories, but I think it’s the perfect, low pressure gateway into the universe. It’s a fun, easy read that makes you feel both the darkness of the world and the hidden warmth of its hero.

It was the most interesting book I've ever read. I especially liked the ending. I was taken aback and loved it. The fact that the character is so intelligent is a perfect detail.

Okay first things first — I am completely obsessed with this series. Diana, Samkiel, Imogen… honestly, I love every single character in this series, the good ones and the bad ones.
But HOW did you make me fall for Kaden like this?? I literally went from "meh, not a fan" to "wait, Diana and Kaden could totally be endgame??" ,and this is coming from someone whose favorite book husband is Samkiel!! Why would you do this to me??
And what you did to Reggie?? I was an absolute mess, ugly crying the whole time! We needed him, he was our dad figure why did you take him away from us, Amber, WHY??
Okay but real talk, the pacing was perfect, and this book had me glued to the pages the entire time. I honestly don't know how you do it, queen, but you just get it. Keep doing what you're doing — even if you destroy my emotions every single time, I still love you for it.
Also the 5th book needs to come out NOW because I genuinely cannot wait anymore!!

Christopher ve Hannah mutlu ve huzurlu bir evlilikleri vardır, bu evlilikte eksik tek şey bir çocuktur. Malesef ne kadar denerlerse denesinler bir çocukları olmaz. Janie şiddete meyilli, Christopher etrafında olmadığında bir canavara dönüşen kızdır. Hannah'ya yaşattıklarının haddi hesabı yok, hayvanlara kötü davranmadan, iğrenç davranışlarda bulunmasına kadar birçok şey yapar.
Evlerden uzak kalması gereken bir kişi kendisi. Kitap boyunca Christopher beni deli etti. Bir insanın gözü bu kadar mı kör olur, kızın yaptıklarını görüyorsun ve hala kızı evinden çıkartmıyorsun. Eşin ne hallere geldi, kadının psikolojisi altüst oldu ama yok Janie çok tatlı, yok Janie düzelicek diyip durdu. Bunca yaşanan o kötü olayların en az Janie kadar suçlusu bu adamdır.
Bu karakterterden kayanklı kitaptan pek tat alamadım. Kitabın sonuna kadar bir insan bu kafada olamaz, olmamalı. Bir bak etrafına, tek karısı da değil herkes aynı şeyleri söylüyor. Karakter gelişimi tersine bu adamda.
Genel olarak kitabın konusu güzel olsada ben o kadar eğlenemedim bu nedenle 6 puan verdim. Bloglarda bahsettikleri kadar wow bir kitap değildi. Daha güzel kitaplar
