Apologies
If you respect yourself, don’t accept verbal apologies. Apologies pave the way for similar situations, thus jeopardizing self esteem. What makes relationships stronger is the changed behaviors. Therefore, being alone is more sensible than being bumped into same ideas and attitudes.

The inabiliy of animals to engage in abstract reasoning excludes them from the social contract and subjects them to human dominion. Locke opens the Essay Concerning Human Understanding by stressing that “it is the Understanding that sets Man above the rest of sensible Beings, and gives him all the Advantage and Dominion, which he has over them.”22 In the treatises on government, Locke makes it clear that this dominion over animals is not simply a matter of fact but rather one of right.

By these words, “the primacy of perception”, we mean that the
experience of perception is our presence at the moment when
things, truths, values are constituted for us; that perception is a
nascent logos; that it teaches us, outside all dogmatism, the true
conditions of objectivity itself; that it summons us to the tasks
of knowledge and action. It is not a question of reducing human
knowledge to sensation, but of assisting at the birth of this
knowledge, to make it as sensible as the sensible, to recover the
consciousness of rationality. This experience of rationality is lost
when we take it for granted as self-evident, but is, on the contrary,
rediscovered when it is made to appear against the background
of non-human nature.
