Kelime dağarcığımız çok fakir olduğu için hayatta başımıza gelen pek çok şey tanımsız kalır. Many things that happen to us in life remain undefined because our vocabulary is very poor.
If capitalism is destroyed, it will be destroyed as a result of a mistake, undiscovered and undefined: there is nothing else that has so far been hidden from the people by so many distortions, misperceptions and misrepresentations.

The genie’s in the magic, and the magic’s in the steam.
“People wonder how to make it in life. First of kin with innate ability and a lotta hard work. Yes. But don’t forget the steam. The undefined asterisk and intangible. Some call it juice. Some call it magic. The genie’s in the magic. The magic’s in the steam.” *----- “İnsanlar hayatta bunu nasıl başaracaklarını merak ediyorlar. Doğuştan gelen yeteneği ve çok fazla sıkı çalışmasıyla türünün ilk örneği. Evet. Ama buharı unutma. Tanımsız yıldız işareti ve soyut. Bazıları buna meyve suyu diyor. Bazıları buna sihir diyor. Cin sihrin içinde. Sihir buharda."

“As a human being, you have no choice about the fact that you need a philosophy,” she told the rows of gray-uniformed cadets and West Point officials and professors who overflowed the auditorium. “Your only choice is whether you define your philosophy by a conscious, rational, disciplined process of thought and scrupulously logical deliberation—or let your subconscious accumulate a junk heap of unwarranted conclusions, false generalizations, undefined contradictions, undigested slogans, unidentified wishes, doubts and fears, thrown together by chance, but integrated by your subconscious into a kind of mongrel philosophy and fused into a single, solid weight: self-doubt, like a ball and chain in the place where your mind’s wings should have grown.”

That money, with the option payments from Woods, was what Ayn and Frank lived on for almost a year. Ayn was a promising playwright with a play about to go into production—and she was struggling to buy enough food to survive. At RKO, she earned about eleven dollars a week, at MGM about twenty dollars a week. Rent was forty dollars a month; her payments were often late. “I’d buy one lamb chop for dinner for Frank,” Ayn would recall. “I had to diet anyway, so I would do without. One day, we had fifty cents between us, and our only - food was the remains of a box of oatmeal. It was slightly Russian. . . . You see why I’m not very glamour-conscious and don’t like to live glamorously. I gave up the idea long before then, but that helped. There was no time to think of it... The tension was enormous because of our financial situation. I was plan- ning The Fountainhead at that time, but I had no peace of mind to really work, I could neither work nor not work—I was running a race with an undefined bank account.” And month by month, Ayn waited for word that Al Woods had obtained his backing.

As westernization spreads, so too does it’s feminization. What have men been left clinging to? The false-guilt we’ve been taught to be ashamed of as part of our past “patriarchy” to be sure, but more importantly we were left with the legacy of that magical thinking. In the face of a yet undefined hypergamy, we wanted to still believe in the ‘Sugar & Spice’ myth, the respect her wishes motive, the marriage goal – all of which were (are) still actively reinforced by a feminine imperative that knew its time had come and men were too stupid in their romanticism to know it.

One thing I know, that at the recollection of these words I suddenly realized the impossibility of ever revealing to her that Paris which I had gotten to know, the Paris whose *arrondissements* are undefined, a Paris that has never existed except by virtue of my loneliness, my hunger for her. Such a huge Paris! It would take a lifetime to explore it again. This Paris, to which I alone had the key, hardly lends itself to a tour, even with the best of intentions; it is a Paris that has to be lived, that has to be experienced each day in a thousand different forms of torture, a Paris that grows inside you like a cancer, and grows and grows until you are eaten away by it.

The occasional sound of raindrops, which, admitted through some cranny in the ruined roof, fell successively and splashed upon the pavement beneath, caused me to turn my head more than once to the place from whence it seemed to proceed and when my eyes took that direction, I found it difficult to withdraw them; such is the pleasure our imagination receives from the attempt to penetrate as far as possible into an intricate labyrinth, imperfectly lighted and exhibiting objects which irritate our curiosity, only because they acquire a mysterious interest from being undefined and dubious.

Nut, by touching the earth with her feet and hands, forms the firmament that separates the world from the waters of chaos and the darkness of the undefined place. She is a boundary or edge rather than a solid barrier, so that the sun is able to sail along her watery body during the daylight hours. She may even be the Milky Way. Every morning Nut swallows and so conceives the stars that are reborn each night. Every evening she conceives the sun on the western horizon and it sails through her body to be reborn at dawn
The two words place and space are often defined in terms of each other. It may take a bit longer, but since every word in a dictionary is defined in terms of another word, this has to happen eventually with any definition. The only way to avoid circular reasoning in a finite language would be to include some undefined terms in the dictionary. Today we realize that mathematical systems, too, must include undefined terms, and seek to include the minimum number necessary for the system to make sense.
Some undefined sorrow was hidden in the hearts of the protagonists as they stood in silence beneath the leafless trees and when the moment of farewell had come the kiss, which had been withheld by one, was given by both.
