With Honors (insanlık yolu) diye Türkçeye çevrilmiş, maddeleşen dünyaya rağmen hayattan güzel dersler var, izleyin derim..

The Erinyes, having been denied their prerogative to mete out punishment to Orestes for his matricide, threaten to afflict Athens with disease that would make the land “leafless” and “childless”; after Athene assuages their anger by offering them honors in Athens, the Erinyes in turn promise benedictions for a prosperous land. This ability to destroy or nurture life hints at their powers of fertility. Furthermore, we find Demeter worshipped as Demeter Erinys (sometimes called just Erinys).

Bu bir kitap içeriği değil fakat senaryosu iyi bir edebi eser niteliğinde.Bahsettiğim şey With Honors filmi,filmde Harvard öğrencisi olan Monty karakteri toplum tarafından kabul gören yaygın fikirlere sahip ve bir o kadar da pesimistik ,işe yaramaz düşüncülere sahiptir.
Monty bilgisayarı bozulduğu ve bilgisayardaki tezinin kopyası silindiği için kampüsteki kütüphaneye gidip çok değer verdiği tezinin başına birşey gelmesinden endişelenerek fotokopisini almak ister.Ancak ayağı takılır ,düşer ve tez mazgaldan aşağı kalorifer dairesine düşer.Kalorifer dairesine indiğinde orada yaşayan evsiz ile tanışır ve hikaye başlar.Filmdeki evsiz karakteri diplomaya ,etikete hiç önem vermeyen ve kendini kültürel yönden çok iyi yetiştirmiş bir okurdur.
Aralarında geçen çatışma Harvardlı diğer arkadaşları ile beraber Monty'nin insanı yönünü geliştirecektir.Filmin tamamını anlatmak istemiyorum fakat beni için çok değerli olan yukarıdaki linkteki sahneden biraz bahsetmek istiyorum.
Evsiz bir yaşam sürdüren Simon birgün Monty ile hayatları üzerine tartışırken Simon: ''Bir dakika bekle Harvard ben de sana hayatımı göstereyim'' der.Cebinden birkaç adet taş çıkarır ve maddi değeri olmayan bu taşların aslında birçok insan için bir değeri yoktur.Ancak Simon onlara birçok anlam yüklemiştir.
Taşlardan biri ona hayatında uyuduğu en iyi geceyi hatırlatırken bir diğer taşta ona sevdiği kadını hatırlatır.Simon'ın verdiği mesaj ise çok önemlidir.''Herşey görecelidir ,önemli olan onlara ne anlam yüklediğindir''
