I'd say this is a pretty good start to a story. I have to first tell you that I've watched 4 episodes of the anime (which is airing now) and I really liked mainly because of the animation, and the voice actors. So, I was curious about the manga but I didn't think I would like it. Surprisingly, it is really good. Though the main plot is very cliche shounen plot, the humor is really good (reminds me of Magi and Hunter x Hunter). I also loved the universe as well. The whole curse and sorcerer thing are very well-thought and interesting. The characters also seem very interesting and well-written, especially Gojou. This first volume consists of 7 chapters which are a bit longer than your usual manga chapters. There is a basic introduction arc and also the start of one of the main arcs. In short, the world and the characters are interesting and this is a pretty good introduction.
