THE BEAST AMONG US
Personality is a set of characteristics that the individual has and distinguishes the individual from others. In psychology, personality has been studied from many aspects and theories have been established on this subject. Sigmund Freud that forms the basis of all theories has been studied over the concepts of id, ego and superego that affect the behavior and preferences of the person. Carl Gustav Jung, a student of Freud, began to oppose Freud's views in later stages, often rejecting Freud's views. Today the purpose of this paper is to express the character of Henry Fleming, the main character of The Red Badge of Courage written by Stephen Crane, in the light of archetypes that display Jung's basic human behavior.
To achieve this goal, I have organized my paper into two sections. In the first section, I am going to mention about our main character Henry Fleming’s characteristic properties in Red Badge of Courage. In the second section, I will tell you Henry Fleming’s psychological complexity in the light of Carl Gustav Jung’s thoughts.
The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane, a war novel, presents us with the hidden and terrible face of war. A youth named Henry Flemming enlists in the Union Army in hopes of achieving his visions of heroism and glory. Shortly after he enlists, the fact of his decision arises. But things make him bring a different state than what was planned by Henry.
He is surpassed because of his fear of death. During his first combat, he escapes from the battle field when the enemy approaches. He instantly notices that war is not what he thought. Henry does not stop retreating even after his mockery manages to destroy the enemy. After the first conflict is over, Henry is left be alone with his own conscience. He feels

Who is More Tragic Macbeth or Lady Macbeth?
Macbeth, written by Shakespeare, is a work that presents to the reader with great care the possible states of emotion and behavior of human existence. There are two important points throughout the book. Firstly, Every person has a mask on his or her face and we cannot be sure what they feel in heart. Our second important point is that man has both dark and light desires. One must be able to rein in one's own ambitions or desires for these desires to arise. Undoubtedly, Macbeth does not restrain these ambitions and tries to increase his popularity by all and increase his position. He has started the chain of events that will lead to murder of the king because of combining with Lady Macbeth’s desire and ambition. Macbeth, who took the crown of the kingdom to his head in a bloody act, again loses his crown and throne along with blood and his head just like Lady Macbeth. Macbeth tells us about the darkness of a terrible storm. My aim is to discuss who is more tragic Macbeth or his wife in this darkness.
In Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are depicted as two needy creatures enduring terrible grief. Both of them will die in pain because of hard times. How did their desires blind their eyes? How did Lady Macbeth, who wanted Macbeth to kill the king with a fierce desire, finally go mad with screaming? Two painful stories for the same reason remind us of the question of which is more tragic. In my opinion, Macbeth is more tragic than Lady Macbeth because Macbeth has more pain and grief in the whole play. On the one hand Lady Macbeth’s life is reflected as if it doesn't matter. In the play, she is described as ineffective element. For example, The Gentlewoman sees Lady Macbeth sleepwalking in the play. She has open eyes,
Everyone Is a Little Bit Macbeth and a Little Hamlet
Mankind has always made an effort to understand and explain themselves and the world. Art and theater in particular have been the most important assistants of humankind throughout this effort. Theatrical works expand our knowledge of ourselves and life through tragedy characters such as Macbeth and Hamlet, while also confronting us with our own selves. I admit that it is a bit difficult to deal with the thirty-four plays of Shakespeare, who is the great theater writer of not only English literature, but also all world literature. Today I will talk about Hamlet's mother and his relationship with Ophelia in the first part of my article. In the second part, I will share some thoughts about Macbeth in terms of a tragic incident.
Unlike many theatrical writers, people in Shakespeare's plays can in no way be the spokesperson for Shakespeare. The characters created by Shakespeare have no relation to his self, his philosophy of life, his thoughts, his feelings. Their characters have their own unique self, philosophy of life, feelings and thoughts. As they talk, Shakespeare who created them, is silent. Also, Shakespeare successfully combines humorous and painful scenes in our daily life. After Macbeth and his wife killed Duncan, a drunken doorman was funny when he let guests in, and the gravedigger joked with Hamlet while digging Ophelia's grave are two best examples. When we read the works, such contrasts are certainly not odd because Shakespeare is both a great tragedian and a great comedy writer. Tragedy emerges from people's specific flaws or weaknesses. For example, if Hamlet were a young man who could make quick decisions and act immediately, he would avenge his father without any disaster happening to him. If

Comparison Between Pride and Prejudice and Wuthering Heights
There are many authors who show us 18th century British society. While some of the authors glorify the community life in the 18th century, some of them criticize the century by their strict rules about the women and social discriminations. Undoubtedly, Emily Bronte and Jane Austen are known as for social criticism or acute perception of gender roles in their society. The works of these two important authors are not about the French Revolution or the wars. They prefer generally to focus on ordinary people, daily life and love. Our writers, who lived in a time when marriages dictated the status of women in society, expressed themselves in a way and produced excellent works . Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte are books that have similarities and differences for readers. This paper will analyse British society by the 18th century and make a comparison between Pride and Prejudice and Wuthering Heights.
