OMG! OMG! OMG! THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL DARK ROMANCE! THE END IS NOT AN ORDINARY HEA. PLEASE BE ADVISED! This book satisfied of my both sides. I love dark romance and thrillers. It's a mix of dark romance with thriller and action. Let's talk about this book! It's a satisfying read but that's not it. Of course, it has minor plot holes, however, they are keeping a low profile when it comes to thinking about the plot overall. I can't get over it, oh my goodness. Kayla has lost her husband and received a letter from a stranger. And it looks like a love letter, btw. And she desperately wrote him back. Also, she has some problems with her house. So that her husband died, she needs to handle the problems on her own. She calls handymen. Only one of them returned her calls. That is Aiden. He is the opposite of her husband, however, she finds him attractive at first sight. She hired him for the roof and then fired him. Things get complicated and they have perfect chemistry at the end. She is his " Sweet Bunny Rabbit " and he is her " Lion King ". They are so cute and sexy. Oh Lord, those spicy scenes . I love every one of them. Meanwhile, her house problems are not done. Eerie things keep happening all the time. And her housekeeper suggested a different solution for the problem. That entangled everything. Oh My God! This is the best part. I'm not gonna spoil it. That's why I'm not saying anything from now on. Please go and read it and thank me later.

Although I thought it was an ordinary read after listening to this book, I quite couldn't understand some of the contents in the book. I first thought it would be a well-written thriller book. I've never read a thriller book whose main character was a maid. I was really excited at first, as I said. However, it wasn't like I expected. This was a disappointing read for me. I didn't like the main character, Molly the Maid. She was neurodivergent which I didn't know in the first place. She was sometimes quite intelligent but sometimes quite naive and acting like a different person. I can't stand this type of character. When everything was in plain sight, she couldn't see or understand it. HOW COULDN'T SHE UNDERSTAND? The writer didn't explain her condition. She just described her as an introvert, which was special according to Molly's grandmother. The other thing that I didn’t understand was the immigrant employee, the illegal things that were happening in the hotel, and HOW COULDN'T A HOTEL HAVE CCTV? AND WHY DIDN'T THE DETECTIVES ASK FOR CAMERA FOOTAGE FOR THE MURDER? I still can't find the answers. However, the ending was quite okay, especially the things that happened in the court. Still, it wasn't a great read for me. I've read way better books than this.

Blindness – A Psychological and Social Analysis of a Moral Allegory José Saramago’s Blindness is not merely a tale of disaster; it is a profound psychological and sociological examination of the dark corners of human nature. The sudden onset of blindness in one man, followed by a rapid and contagious epidemic, affects not just individuals but the very fabric of society. This loss is not merely physical—it symbolizes the collapse of moral values and social norms. Throughout the novel, characters are not referred to by names but by descriptors: the doctor, the doctor’s wife, the first blind man, and so on. This narrative choice emphasizes the stripping away of identity and individuality, turning each character into a faceless part of a collective mass. In terms of social psychology, this is a direct reference to the concept of deindividuation—a state where individuals lose their self-awareness and moral compass in group settings. Without names, the characters are deprived of personal identity, and as a result, they begin to behave in ways that defy their former ethical standards. This psychological erosion becomes most apparent in the mental hospital where the blind are quarantined. A new power hierarchy forms, and a small group dominates the rest through control of food, coercion, and even sexual violence. This descent into cruelty mirrors the findings of Philip Zimbardo’s Stanford Prison Experiment, in which participants assigned the role of guards rapidly became abusive. Similarly, in the novel, individuals who acquire power abandon empathy and embrace authoritarianism. The novel also reflects the disturbing ease with which people obey authority without questioning its legitimacy—a central theme in Stanley Milgram’s obedience experiments. In Blindness, many

Mary Lennox, our protagonist, is a 10-year-old girl who lives in India. Daughter of a rich British couple, from a young age she was kept out of her parents' sight, for they did not wish to have a child. Mary is raised by an Ayah and the rest of the house servants, who spoil her, letting her do as she pleases so as not to upset her. Tragedy interrupts the course of Mary's life: A cholera epidemic breaks out and, in a matter of days, ends with most of the inhabitants of the house dying, including her parents. As she has no other relatives, she will be sent to live with her uncle, Mr. Craven, in England. Misselthwaite Manor is a big and mysterious country house, and the owner is seldom there. Years before, something terrible happened: Mrs. Craven had a fatal accident inside her favorite garden. Ever since then, Mr. Craven has detested the house and has a special aversion towards that garden in particular. That is why he decides to close its doors forever and bury the key. This garden and the mystery that surrounds it will be the one thing that interests Mary about the property. But, as she will soon discover, the garden is not the only secret Misselthwaite hides. The descriptions of the garden were something I liked very much the first time I read the story because they made it sound truly magical. I also recall being fond of Dickon's first appearance, when he brought Mary the seeds, and they started working together to make the garden beautiful again. The author is permanently associating gardening and outdoor activities with health and happiness. She also emphasizes it with Dickon's presence, as this character has a very special bond with nature.
