Ama farklı iş alanlarını seçen insanlar arasında sık sık olduğu gibi, biri diğerinin işini düşünüp onun iş yapma biçimini doğru görse de içten içe o işten nefret ederdi. Herkese kendi yaşam biçimi en doğrusu, arkadaşınınki ise yalnızca bir hayalden ibaret gibi gelir.

Hiçbir bilgiyi ileride kullanmak üzere öğrenmediğimiz için sürdürülebilir fikirlerimiz, projelerimiz, amaçlarımız yok. Okulun bu etkisinden tamamen kurtulup, okulda hiçbir şey öğrenmediğimizin, sadece kısa süreli aklımızda tuttuğumuzun farkında olarak hayata yeni bir başlangıç yapmamız gerekli.
The key is to use both of these ways of looking at the world - that financial success is earned through effort, and that financial success is just dumb luck. So let us strike a balance between believing that hard work pays off and knowing that luck also plays a role. I Think of these two mindsets as tools in your mental toolbox: sometimes you can summon the belief in the power that you have to shape your future, and sometimes you can think about fortune, luck and fate, and be grateful for what you have rather than being disappointed that things don't turn out quite the way you wish.
Every disadvantage can have a corresponding advantage, and vice versa. Your circumstances and unfair advantages, whether apparently positive or negative, can be double-edged swords.
Actually, the reason I got this job in the first place wasn't just that I was good at it, it was because I had got coverage by the internet awards nomination. I would never have even thought of applying for a job in London had they not reached out to me themselves. Part of why I had this job was just dumb luck.
Then I realised it went even deeper than that. I was so lucky to have stumbled into having this highly in-demand skillset at just the right time, precisely as the internet was taking off. If I'd got a job at a clothes shop like some of my other friends, I wouldn't have learned all about computers and the internet through my job.
And if I hadn't had a friend whose parents owned a shoe business, I would never have started our eCommerce venture. Had I not had access to books on computers and the internet, I would never have learned how to do websites, and how to do online marketing. I learned all these things at just the right time.
