He begins to think deeply about the truth. It reminds us that nothing is coincidental, we even can find good even in bad things. That's why Robinson Crusoe looks the other sailors who are in much worse condition than him, on the other hand he has the things he needs. He sees how God rewards him. Therefore, he is thankful for God who has no reason to save him. We generally do nothing for God, we even doesn't remember, but some events remind us how we remember and put place the God on a pedestal, when we get difficult, and we realize how good He is. Thus, Robinson Crusoe states be thankful for god who never turns his back on us, although we always turn our backs on him. Despite everything God is still waiting to forgive us and offers us opportunities every time.
