It is about 40 minutes long (the audiobook) and I got through all of it quite easily. Overall, it was really pleasant and Richard Burton's voice is really soothing and fits Donne's poems' themes. Donne's idea of love is quite different than what we see in contemporary literature. He mostly talks about a spiritual, divine love that is hard to acquire. His poems are also highly metaphysical which was very innovative considering the time period he lived in. Consequently, it was a good collection of poetry and the poems themselves are full of emotion and sometimes sadness. The audiobook version was better than I expected thanks to Burton.
