If you watch children in a playground,you can see them testing their strenght,practicing various moves and repeating things over and over in order to challange themselves and improve their performance.They will often say thing like''Watch me! I can climb to the top now!'' No one has told them they are expected to climb to the top.No one has asked them to please improve their performance and go one step further the next time.And yet,it is what they do.They are self-motivated improvers. They set their own goals and work hard to achieve them without adults -and often even despite adult.
