The first fantasy&magic book I've ever read and it captivated me from the first chapter till the end. Probably the way she described Jacks played a big role pulling me into the book..Even though Jacks got me into the book Evangeline made me keep reading it wondering what she is gonna do next. I'm gonna read the sequel book too and looking forward to learn more about Jacks' past.

"Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way." In this book, the term ikigai is translated as the bliss of always being busy. Ikigai is actually a combination of your passion, your mission and your profession. This book answers some basic questions as to why some people keep doing what they have been doing for years tirelessly even though it's the same things over and over again, say, actors, writers, bloggers, artists and so on. Why do some people never get bored or frustrated repeating doing the same things over and over again? Now, I know this book is overhyped and a lot of us have high expectations from it. While I think the book is more about answering the basic question which we most of the time overlook. Also, it provides a ten-point compressed rule of ikigai: 1. Stay active; don’t retire. 2. Take it slow. 3. Don’t fill your stomach. 4. Surround yourself with good friends. 5. Get in shape for your next birthday. 6. Smile 7. Reconnect with nature. 8. Give thanks. 9. Live in the moment. 10. Follow your ikigai. Overall, this book is truly uplifting. I was intrigued by the simplicity and calming tone it offers, and it captured my attention till the end. The book unleashes the Japanese Zen philosophy, inspiring the readers to search and discover. I highly recommend it, I read it in English, its language is easy

Honestly because of the previous volume I wasn’t having much fun in this hashiras-demons battle like I was having last time. Yes, there were two Upper Moon demons but we had two Hashiras, Nezuko and Tanjirou always together always strong, we had even Genya. And a lot of friends. They made it seem so easy! And then we met pure evil. Suddenly everything changed. It turned me upside down. So I got the same excitement again. I choked on my breath. Tears started to come out of my eyes. Every character and ever past story is precious. That was awesome. And it’s not over yet. I can’t wait to read the next volume. This one was great. Stay strong

It started awesome, continues awesome. It was one of the great volumes. And I’m super excited for the next volume because it’s not over yet. Everyone is fighting to the last drop of their strength. Humans have limits. But what about demons? And Nezuko? Will she lose something precious? We’ll learn a secret about her. Anyway without wasting anymore time I’m going to read next vol. Stay strong

In this little book, Karl Popper worked out his earlier thoughts on the phenomenon of - what he called - historicism. This book was initially written in 1935 and revised multiple times before Popper published the final edition in 1957. In the meanwhile, Popper published his magnum opus, The Open Society and Its Enemies (1944), in which he describes the origins of the idea of historicist philosophy - he traces it back to Plato, and via Aristotle and Hegel to Marx. I had already read The Open Society and Its Enemies and was curious if The Poverty of Historicism had to offer any new insights. And I can recommend reading this prequel to The Open Society to anyone! Popper is one of the clearest philosophers ever - he has the amazing gift of explaining the most abstract and dry material (e.g. logic) in a clear and concise way. Compare this to such bombastic philosophers like Hegel, Nietzsche, and Kant and you will never want to read continental philosophers anymore! So what is this book exactly? The Poverty of Historicism is Popper's logical refutation of historicism. Historicism is the idea - very old, incidentally - that the philosopher can study history to find historical laws. By using these historical laws, the philosopher of history is able to not only understand the evolution of history but also - and more importantly - to make prophetical predictions about the future. This has to be clarified though since it is easy to misunderstand this position. The historicist claims that history evolves according to laws of progress; history knows different stages and each stage has its own guiding laws. The laws of one stage aren't applicable in the preceding or following historical periods. The historicist, living in a particular historical period, is, therefore, by

4/5 Stars (%78/100) After the first cosplay event, Gojou calls Marin beautiful which leads to her falling for him. This is why we see a different Marin in this volume. There are two new characters and they also seem interesting. Gojou decides to make costumes and other than that, this volume mainly focuses on the relationship between Gojou and Marin. Gojou is happy that he gets to spend more time with her and Marin thinks she is in love with him. It was a sweet and enjoyable volume but I did not like it as much as the previous one. I still definitely recommend and will read the next volume as soon as possible.
