Milyon Dolarlık Yalan, tam anlamıyla bir oturuşta bitirilecek, yüksek enerjili ve bol atışmalı bir "nefretten aşka" hikayesi. Kitabın en büyük artısı, klişe bir zengin adam-fakir kız hikayesi gibi başlasa da karakterlerin arasındaki o kıvılcımlı ve hazırcevap diyalogların okuyucuyu hiç sıkmaması. Emery’nin dik duruşu ve Callum’un o karanlık, korumacı alfa tavrı türe bayılanları kesinlikle tatmin edecek cinsten.
Eğer mantık hatalarına çok takılmadan, sırf eğlenmek, heyecanlanmak ve hızlı akan tutkulu bir aşk oyunu okumak istiyorsan, bu kitaba kesinlikle şans vermelisin.

Öncelikle, kitabı bir yanlışlık sonucu aldığımı ifade etmeliyim. Echart Tolle’nin The Power of Now kitabını ararken 
Şimdi'nin Gücü kitabını sepete atmışım. Almışken de okuyayım dedim ancak vakit ayırıp okumanın çok mantıklı olduğunu düşündüğüm bir kitap değil ne yazık ki. Verdiğim 2 puan da birkaç önemli noktaya parmak bastığını gördüğümden dolayı.
Yine de bir parantez açıp özetlemek gerekirse, kitap hayatı değiştirmek için büyük hamleler önermek yerine odağı tek bir noktaya indiriyor: “İnsanın sahip olduğu tek gerçek alan olan şimdiye.” Bu da kompleks insan hayatına biraz ters bir düşünce olmuş oluyor benim nazarımda. Bunun yanında geçmişin bugüne hükmedemeyeceğini vurgulayarak dikkati sürekli olarak içinde bulunulan ana çekiyor ancak geçmişin bugüne hükmedemeyeceğini net bir sınırla çizmesine anlam veremedim. Nitekim, insan geçmişin eseri, geleceğin esiridir.

The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway tells a story that feels simple at first, almost like something you could explain in a few sentences. An old fisherman goes out to sea, catches a great fish, and loses it on the way back. But as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that this is not really a story about fishing at all. It is about endurance, dignity, and what it means to struggle in a world that does not always reward effort.
The novella centers on Santiago, an old Cuban fisherman who has gone eighty-four days without catching a fish. In his village, he is seen as unlucky, even defeated. Only a young boy, Manolin, continues to believe in him, although he is no longer allowed to fish with Santiago. This quiet isolation shapes the emotional atmosphere of the story. Santiago is not just physically alone at sea; he is also set apart from the people around him, living on the edge of relevance.
When he finally sets out far into the Gulf Stream, determined to break his unlucky streak, he hooks a giant marlin. What follows is a long, exhausting struggle that lasts for days. The fish pulls his small boat deep into the open sea, and Santiago, despite his age and pain, refuses to give up. What is striking here is not just the physical challenge, but the way Santiago thinks about the fish. He does not hate it. He respects it, admires it, even feels a kind of kinship with it. At times, he speaks to it as if it were an equal. This changes the nature of the conflict. It is not a simple battle between man and nature, but something more complex, almost like a test of worth between two noble beings.
When Santiago finally kills the marlin, it feels like a moment of triumph, but that triumph does not last. Sharks are drawn to the blood of the fish and begin to attack it.

I. INTRODUCTION: THE PURPOSE OF THE NOVEL
Tess of the d’Urbervilles is Thomas Hardy’s most powerful and controversial novel, written as a direct challenge to Victorian moral, religious, and sexual values. Through the life of Tess Durbeyfield, a poor rural woman, Hardy exposes the cruelty of a society that equates female worth with sexual “purity,” excuses male transgression, and disguises injustice as moral order.
Hardy does not present Tess as a fallen woman seeking redemption. Instead, he presents her as morally pure from beginning to end, and argues that the true corruption lies not in Tess, but in the social systems that destroy her.
II. DETAILED SUMMARY (WITH SPOILERS)
1. Origins and the Weight of Ancestry
Tess Durbeyfield is the eldest daughter of a poor rural family in Wessex. Her life changes when her father learns that they may be descended from the ancient aristocratic d’Urberville family. This discovery fills her parents with ambition and false hope, while Tess herself feels unease rather than pride.
When Tess accidentally causes the death of the family’s horse, Prince—their sole means of livelihood—she feels intense guilt and responsibility. This event, driven by chance rather than moral fault, sets the tragic pattern of her life: random misfortune followed by self-blame.
To help her family recover financially, Tess is sent to seek help from the wealthy d’Urbervilles—unaware that they are not true aristocrats, but merely have purchased the name.
2. Alec d’Urberville and Sexual Violation
At Trantridge, Tess meets Alec d’Urberville, a manipulative and predatory man who immediately fixates on her. Despite Tess’s repeated resistance and discomfort, Alec pursues her relentlessly.

David Caine is fond of gambling and he makes some calculations in terms of probability and at the same time he gives lectures at the university. He thinks that he will always be the winner with the theory of probability. He tries all his chances and happens to the the low possibility of losing and so he is debted to the Russian Mafia. By the way, I learnt some possibilities for example at a place I have 0,003 per cent possibility of having the same birthday with those people. When it it up to the plot; he has some sanitary problems especially with the brain and he is offered to apply an experimental treatment and he accepts. His twin brother Jasper also has similar problems who claims that how dreadful it is. Caine considers that there is no other way out. CIA agent Nava Vaner lives off by selling secret informations to secret services. She has a problem in the last sale and she knows that if she cannot provide a precious info to the North Koreans she will die. All in all, she finds Dr. Tversky’s searchings. The minister of the NSA, Forsythe is also in the trace of this information. Dr. Tversky thinks that by improving the human brain it will be possible to see the future. He uses his beloved student as a testing individual. But in the last experiment she dies dramatically. Before she dies she tells sometjing from the future. Caine’s situation is diffrent from the student. He is able to see what will happen in the future as a film strip. The only thing he is supposed to do is to live the future which he chose. Thanks to this ability he could survive during the explosion. Due to this issue he meets with Nava. And then both of them try to escape from FBA and NSA agents. In time Nava
