Review 03/05/22: rtc, happy pub day!! ***** 04/05/22: Thank you NetGalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Get ready for a google docs rant review kids, this is going to be a bumpy ride. Never thought my rating of a book could change so much throughout reading it until I read this one, How To Be The Best Third-Wheel. AKA another reason why you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover (because sometimes books with pretty covers turn out to be boring and a waste of your time!). I picked up HTBTBTW, thinking that I would read a fun rom-com about third wheeling and it delivered that, and it delivered even MORE of that and not in a good way. This book was so unnecessarily long, that I just couldn’t stand it anymore and started skimming the last 100 pages. Though, I must say, it did have a great dedication: “To my love life- thank you for being so nonexistent that I had to write this.” This book is about Lara Dela Cruz (what even is that name-) going on a vacation to the Philippines and returning back to school only to find out that all of the members of her girl gang have boyfriends now. Instead of being a normal person and a good friend, she treats them like shit for having boyfriends (????) and then plays the victim. I had an unpleasant experience with those kinds of people, so it was quite fun to read about (ironically I requested the book because I was third wheeling at school after my friend had a new boyfriend)!!!!! I just wanted to hit her with the back of the thickest book I own in my bookshelf. I know that it sounds malicious and weird but I really, really hated her. She was just this selfish, whiny and ungrateful 16 year-old who was not even close to being mature (or even pretending to be mature, for heaven’s sake). I’m not a psychologist

Frankenstein is written in the Regency Period when is between 1811 to 1820. The work was published in 1818 by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. The period is monarch of the Prince Regent who is King George III's son. The time plays an essential role in analyzing the work. Because Mary Shelley is inspired by the characteristic of the Romanticism Period in her work. This period emphasized individualism. Emotions, feelings, and senses are exceedingly significant for understanding the novel. In Frankenstein, the emotional distress of characters is intensely seen. Monster’s emotions states that 'All men hate the wretched; how then, must I be hated, who am miserable beyond all living things!’ (Shelley,83).   Frankenstein untitled The Modern Prometheus at the same time. As a second name, The Modern Prometheus is a meaningful choice. Both stories have related subtexts. Prometheus is the creator of mankind in greek mythology. So, there is both creator a living thing in both stories. Then he desires to give fire to mankind but Zeus does not accept it.  Then he gives fire to men and Zeus is riled by this action. They are associated they both suffer from their decisions too. Frankenstein's era’s difficulty is capitalism and Prometheus time's problem is gods in his perspective. They both break natural order. Prometheus is tragically punished each day. Prometheus chained in a mountain and an eagle eats his liver every day . Clay is an indispensable part when two stories compared with each other. Prometheus generate men with clay. Surely, clay is an element of nature. It is unique that humanities created in nature. On the other hand,Victor originated the monster from dead bodies and it is the opposite of nature from the begginning of the story. Plus, the fire symbolized as electricity

5/5 Stars (%92/100) This issue focuses mostly on Ozymandias. Ozymandias explains his master plan of saving both worlds by manipulating pretty much everyone. Once again, you realize why he calls himself "the smartest man of the world." Also, it is finally time. Doomsday clock stops ticking.

After glancing at some information about this book which is highly praised by the readers, I still had no idea what it was about, so I decided to read it, I just read it in 3 days! Momo is a classic story that is known as a children's book, yet I believe that adults may even glean more from its reading than younger folk. Momo is written by Michael Ende, you might think it's about a homeless girl or a turtle or something upon seeing it at first, but it's really about a paradoxical idea that the more time you try to save, the more of it you will waste. It has what some would call a regressive message no doubt, and it's a message I somewhat agree with. I particuarly like how you don't really get a good grasp of the plot until you're well past the halfway point of the book, and with the exception of the "Make-Believe" digression chapter, you want to read on to figure out where the story's going. It's good at leaving you in the dark just enough to keep you reading, no matter how much someone tells you about the book beforehand. This is a modern day fairytale, about a little girl named Momo, who moves into a ruined amphitheater on the edge of a Italian-style town. She is a remarkable individual, who lives in poverty, yet her life is rich with friendship and love. Momo has a unique skill of deep listening. Soon all the villagers learn that when they are not getting along they should "go and see Momo". Through Momo's friendship, her friends find peace, community, and creativity. Her gift of listening to them until the truth unveils itself brings her to be surrounded by many friends who bring her food, tell her stories, and help care for her in her adopted home. Life changes quickly in the village, when the Men in Gray infiltrate their life, hypnotizing people to save time. In

The Museum of Innocence After finishing "The Museum of Innocence," I found myself in need to talk about it. I wanted my friends to know about this, but I wanted them to know about it slowly, in small drips, and tiny pieces. Orhan Pamuk is such a master story-teller. He didn't just give you a relief from this journey. He took you to another path. A heroic one. A path that only a mad person would take. Well, mad or brave. Or simply in love! Reading this book was not all a joyride. There were moments, when obsession really caught Kemal, whom later I called a friend just because I know so much about him, that I wanted to slap him in the face and say "Wake up! Enough already! Stop being this pathetic and get a life, man!" Of course, he didn't do that. I almost stopped reading at this point. That is how rich and heavy Pamuk can describe obsession. It begins promisingly enough with a love triangle between Kemal, the young heir of one of Istanbul’s wealthiest family, Sibel, his Sorbonne-educated fiancée, and Fusun, a poor, distant relation who happens to be a nubile 18 year-old beauty contest finalist. Their illicit romance, consummated in an empty apartment filled with his mother’s abandoned possessions , slowly consumes Kemal’s life, and yet he still clings to Sibel, who is not only understanding but is also willing to nurse him through lovesickness for her rival. This earlier part of the novel is quite compelling, although the eroticism occasionally drifts towards the graphically icky territory (“As our kisses grew even longer, a honeyed pool of warm saliva gathered in the great cave that was our mouths combined, sometimes leaking a little down our chins…”). Actually, this kind of relationship is traditionally inappropriate. However, as Sibel finally gives up on her
