The Knight's Tale
Here is Palamon. He is condemned to perpetual imprisoment, consigned to chains and shackles until the day of his death. Here is Arcite. One of them can glimpse his gracious lady, day by day, but will never be able to approach her. The other is as free as air, able to journey wherever he wishes, but he will never see Emily again. Consider it. Judge the matter as best as you can. Put the characters before you, as if theye were upon a gaming board. Meanwhile i will carry on with the story, just to see what happens next.
