Meaning Quest
Human beings are enigmatic creatures, often attributing profound meanings to the seemingly mundane aspects of life. We are inherently drawn to imbue significance into the trivial, crafting narratives and interpretations that reflect our innermost desires, fears, and aspirations. In this relentless pursuit of meaning, we navigate the complexities of existence, seeking purpose amidst the chaos of the world. Yet, paradoxically, it is this very quest for significance that shapes our understanding of reality, defining who we are and what we believe in. #MeaningQuest #life #real #human
And then, one day, she stopped. Slowly, painfully, step by small step, her contempt for suffering began to restore her to life. She would not allow her love for Leo to be a tragedy, and to become a scar on her soul, she told herself angrily. But in 1961, in her middle years, at the height of her powers and strength, when it seemed as if the whole world were spread out before her, offering her everything she had ever dreamed of, she said, with an almost childlike wistfulness, “I am not indifferent to Leo, to this day.” Then she added softly, “But you see, it was fortunate that he didn’t ask me to marry him. I would have said yes, I would have stayed in Russia—and I would have died there.”

seeking of the meaning of existence in the world
I have lots friends, and have stayed healthy up till now. I’m enjoying life. But still these days I’ve often wondered, Who in the world am I? And very seriously at that. If you took away my career as a plastic surgeon, and the happy environment I’m living in, and threw me out into the world, with no explanation, and with everything stripped away - what in the world would I be?
