I like not knowing about some things. Yes. I like it. Because it feels comfortable to me. I take refuge in the comfort of saying "I don't know." I read the Elephant Man story for the first time in this book. But I didn't know it was a famous story and based on a true event. Absolutely. So I'm glad I read it without knowing anything about it. Because it didn't affect my feelings.
I did a simple reading and I have simple feelings. Not exaggerated. The Elephant Man was a human and never a creature. Monster or creature. He was human. What about the other people? They are prejudiced. As always. I think the real creatures are the other people. Because they wounded a wounded person again and again. That evil requires having an evil heart. Right? Clear... Apart from that. The book is very easy to read because when I didn't know a word, I looked up its meaning on the next page. It was very comfortable. I didn't use a dictionary. Besides, this was a first-level reading. Beginner level. I will watch the movie. Of course, I will watch it in English. Because I made a promise to Professor Akif. Just like he promised Fuat Sezgin.

I didn’t know much about Arnold Schwarzenegger beyond his movies, so this book was a great introduction to his life. It really showed how disciplined and focused he is, and I found his advice based on real-life experiences very inspiring. I enjoyed reading it and found it very informative.

In Amis’s famous novel, London Fields, the witty language is used and highlighted in the book repatedly. With the use of wit and pan (word play) Amis creates one of the most intelligent written novel ‘London Fields’. These uses of high elevated language and word plays also gives us the hints of postmodern fiction. As the novel is considered one of the best novel representing postmodernism, one can appreciate it due to the style that the novel is written, by means of wit and language. To give examples from the book;
-It was fixed. It was written. The murderer was not the murderer. But the murderee had always been a murderee.
The quote from Samson Young foreshadows that the real murderer is not the one we think, it will change. However the murderee ‘Nicola’ will always be the victim, not be affected by the inconstant murderer.
- I know what his poetry will be about. What poetry is always about. The cruelty of the poet’s mistress.
In this quote we can also sense the metaphor that is made to Nicola. Here Samson , as a writer, claims that the poets are writing poetry due to the relationship between their mistresses. It is known that Young also writes a novel about Nicola, creating the same plot with the poets he criticizes.

I had already read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer before, and Huckleberry Finn was one of the characters in that book. Because of that, I became curious about him and wanted to read Adventures of Huckleberry Finn as well.
After I started reading, I realized that I really enjoyed the humorous style of the book. The language and the dialogues made the story more interesting and enjoyable for me.
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was published in 1884 and is considered one of the major works of American Realism. Unlike Romantic literature, Twain focuses on ordinary people, realistic language, and social problems. Through Huck’s journey, the novel reflects important issues of 19th-century American society such as racism, slavery, violence, religious hypocrisy, and social inequality. Twain also satirizes romantic adventure stories, especially through the character of Tom Sawyer.
The novel follows Huck Finn, a young boy who escapes from his abusive father and travels along the Mississippi River with Jim, an escaped enslaved man. During their journey, they meet many different people and experience both humorous and serious situations. Through these adventures, Huck begins to question society’s values, racism, religion, and morality.
Huck also starts to test the religious teachings of Miss Watson and Widow Douglas. He does not fully accept everything that society and religion teach him, and throughout the novel he tries to understand what is morally right by himself.
Mark Twain mainly criticizes romanticism and unrealistic adventure stories. Tom tries to behave like the characters in books, while Huck thinks more realistically and questions these ideas. What is a truly good person? Who are they, and how can someone become a good person? A Clockwork Orange is a book that questions these questions for us The main character Alex is someone with bad habits who is far from goodness.
As a result, Alex, who was imprisoned, was used in an experiment by the government.This experiment is a technique applied to make people better. This technique, which is applied to Alex, raises this question in the reader's mind: Is a person who cannot choose goodness of their own free will truly good?
Many people choose to be good because of the fear of being excluded or the desire for social approval. It is debatable how moral this situation is. The book says that humans are like 'clockwork oranges.' A human is natural like a real orange, but a 'clockwork orange' is a human who acts like a machine because of outside pressure. According to this, if a person tries to be good because of social pressure or fear, they are not an organic human anymore; they have become a puppet of society. So, when Alex is 'cured' with this technique, he does not become a good person anymore; he just turns into a machine that is afraid of doing evil.
At the end of the book, Alex gets free from this technique and, instead of being evil like before, he decides to be a good person by his own free will. This situation can be interpreted in many ways, such as maturity, a fatigue of evil, or the realization that being evil no longer contributes anything to him. Consequently in my opinion, true goodness is not an action forced by outside pressure; it should come from the heart by one's own free will.

Fistly,I want to express some doubts about the reliability of the narrator, Nick Carraway, who tells the life of the main character, Jay Gatsby, from his own perspective because Nick sometimes praises Gatsby and sometimes expresses critical thoughts about him. This situation shows that the narrator is not completely objective and tells the story according to his own feelings.
Secondly, we see the American Dream theme from the beginning to the end of the story. The American Dream is the belief that no matter which social class people come from, they can become rich and successful through hard work. This thought is Jay Gatsby’s main motivation. His obsessive love for Daisy Buchanan and his hope that she will return to him one day lead him to work harder and do everything he can to become rich. The novel conveys this hope through the symbol of the green light. The green light comes from Daisy’s house, and when Gatsby looks at it, he sees his dreams and hopes. So the green light shows Gatsby’s dreams and the future he wants, and it also shows how unreachable the American Dream can be.
In addition, Jay Gatsby organizes big and flashy parties to prove his wealth and to show it to Daisy Buchanan. However, this situation did not affect either Daisy or the other people. Because society was divided into two parts: “new money” (people who became rich later) and “old money” (people who inherited their wealth). Although Gatsby became rich through his own efforts, he was not appreciated and was even despised by society. Therefore, Daisy did not choose to be with him. This situation shows that for Daisy, social status and wealth were more important than love.
Finally, Jay Gatsby was left alone at the end of his life despite his struggles. Nearly nobody came to his funeral. This
