"Rose wanted to see the man." said Mrs Maylie, "but, I didn't permit her."
"There is nothing to fear." said the doctor, "he is calm.
Would you mind coming and seeing him when I'm here?" Doctor was in the front, when they were going upstairs.
"Now" he said while he was opening the door. "I want to know what you are thinking about him."
He opened the curtains of the bed. There was a child lying there instead of a bad creature they had expected to see.
Two women were sitting at the breakfast table in a very nice room. Mr Giles in black clothes was serving them. One of the women was quite old, but the other was about seventeen. She was a very pretty girl with her blue eyes and sweet smile. Her name was Rose Maylie. The old lady was her aunt, Mrs Maylie.
