If anyone removes their pubes even though they don't like doing it, that doesn't make them a bad feminist. It's the patriarchy's fault; fighting the patriarchy is hard work, and sometimes you need to pick your battles.
It could be tied to the feminist movement in the 1970s. Women started showing their hair as a sign of rebellion against men. So men started fetishizing women without body hair. Perhaps the bedroom started being the only place men could be "men", and so they wanted to be the only ones with body hair.
Hating the way you look is not very fun. The majority of women have wished to change the way they look at some point in their life. This is because the media shows us only pictures of one type of women: The Slim White Lady. The Slim White Lady is then photoshopped so much that even other slim white ladies feel inferior to her. You do not need to look like The Slim White Lady to be beautiful, healthy or worthy. You are enough just as you are.
