1/5 Star (%5/100)
Utter garbage! I can safely say that there is 0 useful information in this book. I pity those millions of people who bought the book and thought it is actually good. Thanks to this book, I remember why I hate self-help books. The main idea of the book: "Hey there! Do you want to make friends? Well, go talk to people." Thanks, Dale I did not think about that. It is also absurd that he advises you to always try to please people. This could really mess up with the minds of young people.
I would have DNF this book but just for the sake of giving it a star, I endured and finished it. I think, like many self-help books that try to extort money from people by exploiting ideas like friendship or mental health, this is a waste of both time and money. Don't bother even reading it. I still can't understand how some people think that this book gives "wise" counsel about friendship and communication with people in general. People, if you really want to learn about this stuff, maybe talk to some professional people who actually studied it for many years or read some books such as Hitopadesha or Dhammapada (Both are great Hindu books which deal with many things and more like philosophy than self-help).
TL; DR: I hated it.
