I have already read the book. It was a deeply and weird story. We can take several thoughts from the story. In a weird way, i read during my ielts preparation. The latest is related to study abroad. The book disturp my beliefs. I work hard to achieve my desires and goals. However, the book highlights that you should not wanna do antyhing deeply. It is likely that murphy rules happen in our live. Meanwhile if i hvae chance i wanna try to do. But it should be wisely, not randomly. The book can die our dreams that you shoud not want to be any your goals. So why i dont wanna? Why i dont try to do anything for it?

İlk kitapta Blake’i sevmiştim, bu kitapta bayıldım.

Stefan Zweig-Chess Undoubtedly Stefan Zweig is one of the writers who reflects human emotions and handles them deeply. I can say that after reading Metamorphosis (I mentioned it to everyone and made a review of ), I couldn’t escape from its influence, and cannot still. It mentioned the value of human beings. It emphasized Gregor himself. Franz Kafka depicted the protagonist, Gregor as a ghost to reveal whether Gregor thinks of himself or considers what people say. Similarly, Chess succeeded in being one of my priorities with an emphasis on humans and his struggle to be healthy. What I mean by the word ‘healthy’? Okay. I want to ask a question to you. Do passions keep a person alive? Can they make a person mad as well? I will try to guess what your answer is. What if passions encourage a person to span a good life, can passions cause to the point he will suffer as well? That is what Zweig emphasizes. Zweig deals with Dr. B. in the book to show how strong and intelligent he is in the middle of nowhere, on the verge of insanity… Is it possible for a person to be mad and lose functions of the brain stemming from solidity and speechlessness? Maybe if he couldn’t find the chess book in the pocket of the guard, despair and loneliness would bring about madness! ---“Was that chess or madness in the cell?!” I think that there would not be any problem if the passion did not turn to jeopardy, and they do not symbolize the worst moments. The reason he is still smart and makes proper sentences in this isolated life is chess. He continuously studied it. He contemplated the chess board in his mind without real tools. He solved its rules and how to play on his own. And this passion went on in that way. He was imprisoned by the Nazis who has pressure on Austria to get important

Here we are again w #malcolmgladwell ‘s so called debut, first book! 🥳 I have tried to analyze the book systematically. He categorized 3 rules of spread of social epidemics, trends which are not triggered by major changes (usually very small changes). 1. changes in PRODUCT/IDEA 💡; 2. changes in the PEOPLE 👥 who spread it; 3. changes in ENVIRONMENT or “context”. So, only combinations of individuals, idea and environment can cause a trend to “tip”! 📈 #gladwell questions “which personality types are often conductive to social epidemics?” and he explain “six degrees of separation” which means human beings are linked to one another by a chain of only 6 ppl. #wordofmouth is much more stronger than many campaigns and “law of few” explains that: a few disproportionately people have a large role in social of all kinds. These few ppl are: connectors, mavens, and salesman! Let’s see the characteristics of these personalities! ❕Connectors are gregarious, friendly, and make friends effortlessly, have larger social circles, have lots of acquaintances rather than close friends. ❕Mavens are people who know what the “word” & easily influence ppl. and my fav ❕salesman- use subconscious persuasion (ex. ppl voted #ronalreagan not because of his policies, the reason was his positive aura). Ppl aren’t always as rational & logical as they think 😅 and prefer not to recognize that they are being persuaded. 🧐 being a sender is an aspect of being salesman which requires charisma & persuasion, use of body language, conveying emotions nonverbally. THAT’S WHY advertising agencies study & equip the techniques of subconscious persuasion❕ People tend to remember the simplest & the stickiest information (irrational & subconsciously) which can be more persuasive than logically convincing info. This is one of the most brilliant, intriguing books I have read. It is not about anything specific; it is about everything. Peterson’s masterfully mixing of psychology, philosophy and religion produced this interesting book. The way that he combines seemingly unrelated topics in such a creative manner is head spinning. Some chapters, I found absolutely fascinating (especially the article about Adam and Eve). Some are just OK. But more importantly, for me the most important element that I am looking for in a book is that whether it offers “life changing perspectives”. And this book has many of them. It “expanded/enriched” the way I perceive life, people and events. It improved some of the codes in my main operating system…Last but not least, I love humor and Peterson has lots of that. Fasten your seatbelts and enjoy this great reading.

Comparison Between Pride and Prejudice and Wuthering Heights  There are many authors who show us 18th century British society. While some of the authors glorify the community life in the 18th century, some of them criticize the century by their strict rules about the women and social discriminations. Undoubtedly, Emily Bronte and Jane Austen are known as for social criticism or acute perception of gender roles in their society. The works of these two important authors are not about the French Revolution or the wars. They prefer generally to focus on ordinary people, daily life and love. Our writers, who lived in a time when marriages dictated the status of women in society, expressed themselves in a way and produced excellent works . Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte are books that have similarities and differences for readers. This paper will analyse British society by the 18th century and make a comparison between Pride and Prejudice and Wuthering Heights.  To achieve this, I have organized my paper into three sections. In the first section, I will talk about the 18th century Britain, also known as the Victorian age and the value of women in society in those times. Secondly, I am going to give some information about the author’s life and their writing styles. In the end, I will do some analysis about the differences and similarities of  Pride and Prejudice and Wuthering Heights in aspects of main characters.      According to many historians, the reform movement in 1832 is the original beginning of the Victorian era, also the Victorian age is called the Romantic era. Courtship is considered a tradition in those days and has been very popular. Queen Victoria and her family are the Victorian society’s heroes. Society finds
