I've never read a book that was both so complex and so organized at the same time as this one. Metafiction, fragmented structure, questioning metanarratives, posthumanism, postcolonialism, and all the "post-" are combined in this book. The book's self-reflective nature and its direct conversation with the reader have made it one of my favorite books written from a second-person perspective. It has a style that leads the reader into paradoxes, confuses them, and definitely broadens their horizons. Especially the stories that follow each episode are like a narrative version of the main plot of that episode. For example, in the first chapter, we, as readers, embark on a journey. A reading journey. The title of the next chapter is "If on a winter's night a traveler". So it's about someone who's embarked on a journey, a traveler. But this episode is cut short, and our character's journey is interrupted. Just like we, the readers, are constantly interrupted by the narrator throughout this book. There's a mystery in this chapter. We don't know what that mystery is. We also encounter a mystery while reading this book; which book are we reading? Why is the book incomplete? Where is the rest? And in the next chapter, we, the readers, are on the hunt for the continuation of the previous story. We go to the bookstore and find another story that could be a sequel. But this story we found has been replaced by the main story. Just like the main plot of the story we are about to read. So throughout the book, we, the readers and narrators, speak first, taking on an active role. At the end of each chapter, we read a different story. And these stories are like continuations of the previous chapter's narrative. This rather confusing book achieves its purpose: it bores the reader. But

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum tells the story of Dorothy, a young girl who lives in Kansas and is suddenly carried away by a cyclone to the magical land of Oz. After her house accidentally kills the Wicked Witch of the East, Dorothy learns she must travel to the Emerald City to ask the Wizard of Oz for help returning home. Along the way, she meets the Scarecrow, who believes he lacks a brain; the Tin Woodman, who longs for a heart; and the Cowardly Lion, who wishes for courage. The group travels together, facing various challenges before finally reaching the Wizard. He promises to help them only if they defeat the Wicked Witch of the West, which Dorothy ultimately does. However, when they return, the Wizard is revealed to be an ordinary man using illusions. Despite this, he gives Dorothy’s companions tokens that help them recognize they already possess the qualities they desired. In the end, Dorothy learns she can return home using the magical power of her silver shoes, realizing that her greatest wish has been within her reach all along. From a literary perspective, the novel explores themes of self-discovery, identity, and the importance of inner qualities over external appearances. Each of Dorothy’s companions symbolizes a human trait "intelligence, compassion, and courage" and their journeys reveal that these qualities are not granted by others but already exist within them. This idea reflects a central message of the novel: people often underestimate themselves and seek validation from external sources instead of trusting their own abilities. The story also examines the contrast between illusion and reality, particularly through the character of the Wizard, who appears powerful but is ultimately just an ordinary man. This suggests a subtle criticism

Fistly,I want to express some doubts about the reliability of the narrator, Nick Carraway, who tells the life of the main character, Jay Gatsby, from his own perspective because Nick sometimes praises Gatsby and sometimes expresses critical thoughts about him. This situation shows that the narrator is not completely objective and tells the story according to his own feelings. Secondly, we see the American Dream theme from the beginning to the end of the story. The American Dream is the belief that no matter which social class people come from, they can become rich and successful through hard work. This thought is Jay Gatsby’s main motivation. His obsessive love for Daisy Buchanan and his hope that she will return to him one day lead him to work harder and do everything he can to become rich. The novel conveys this hope through the symbol of the green light. The green light comes from Daisy’s house, and when Gatsby looks at it, he sees his dreams and hopes. So the green light shows Gatsby’s dreams and the future he wants, and it also shows how unreachable the American Dream can be. In addition, Jay Gatsby organizes big and flashy parties to prove his wealth and to show it to Daisy Buchanan. However, this situation did not affect either Daisy or the other people. Because society was divided into two parts: “new money” (people who became rich later) and “old money” (people who inherited their wealth). Although Gatsby became rich through his own efforts, he was not appreciated and was even despised by society. Therefore, Daisy did not choose to be with him. This situation shows that for Daisy, social status and wealth were more important than love. Finally, Jay Gatsby was left alone at the end of his life despite his struggles. Nearly nobody came to his funeral. This

Keyifli okumalar dilerim.

Ahmet Mithat Müşahedat criticized Emile Zola in his introduction titled 'Hasbihâl with Kâriîn' in his work titled Müşahedat and described the situation of Emile Zola, who wrote with a naturalist perspective of French society, from a critical point of view. Mithat Efendi wrote almost all his works to guide and educate people. And for this reason, according to him, transferring the events existing in the society as they are, instead of educating people, he was worried about leading them down the wrong path and therefore he opposed the Turkish society to read Emile Zola. Ahmet Mithat is a socialist and devoted writer. His aim to educate the public has led him to address the problems of the people. In this respect, he is in a way the sociologist of his period.
