Through uniting with the self we reach the God, who unites heaven and hell in himself. The self is not God, although we reach the God through the self. The God has the power, not the self. Powerlessness should thus not be deplored, rather it is the condition that should abide. The God acts from within himself. This should be left to him. What we do to the self, we do to the God. If we twist the self, we also twist the God.
It is divine service to serve oneself.
The epithelium of the vagina contains glycogen, which is broken down by enzymes and bacteria (most notably lactobacilli) into acids. This maintains the low vaginal pH, creating an environment inhospitable to pathogens. The glycogen concentration is controlled by oestrogen production;therefore any changes in oestrogen levels will result in either increased or decreased glycogen concentrations. If oestrogen levels decrease glycogen concentration also decreases, giving rise to an increased vaginal pH and making the vagina more susceptible to opportunistic infections such as Candida albicans; 95% of thrush cases are caused by C. albicans. The remaining cases are caused by C. glabrata although symptoms are indistinguishable.
Let there fall externally what will on the parts which can feel the effects of this fall. For those parts which have felt will complain, if they choose. But I, unless I think that what happened is an evil, am not injured. And it is in my power to think so.
