Evet, konusu beğenip aldığım yeni kitaplardan biri daha okuduk. Daha neler aldımda okuyoruz yavaş yavaş. Böyle 7 lik olarak gıdıyordu ki son 100 sayfada olanlar oldu. Benden kitaba 5 puan…
Konusu gelirsek; İngiltere, 1879. Zeki ama yoksul Annabelle Archer, Oxford Üniversitesi’nin ilk kadın öğrencilerinden biriydi. Bursunun şartı, toplumda gitgide karşılık bulmaya başlayan kadınlara oy hakkı hareketini desteklemesi için nüfuzlu erkekleri ikna etmekti. Hedefi: Britanya siyasetinin başkomutanı sayılan, soğuk ve hesapçı Montgomery Dükü’ydü.
Şimdi konu gayet güzel severiz kadın hakları savucularını ve ayakları sağlam basan kadınları, özellikle ingiltere o zamanlarda bu cok zor iken… topluluk alakalı cok kısmadan değinmiş yazar guzel ve hastı… aşk romanı olduğundan eleştirleri o yönde yapacağım.
Dükümüz tam dük, tam bir asalzade adama bayıldım. Dük dediğin sebasistan gibi olacak abi, sert , karizmatık, özgüven sahibi tam bir alfa… her konuda muhteşem bir zekaya sahip… ama aşık olunca biraz mallaştı ama oda malum haha… kadın karaktere gelirse Anna’ya valla dediğim gibi kitabın ortalara Doğru baya iyi gidiyorduk ki , bu taşralı gülü yaptı yapacağını… şimdi anna taşralı köyünden gelip zekası ile oxford girmiş… yani herhangi bir ünvanı yok.. neyse dük ile yakınlaşıyorlar, filan bu terbiyesiz dük (o dönem olduğundan haklıda neyse) kıza metresı olmasını teklfi edıyor.. o zamnalar bir dükün taşralı biri evlenmesi büyük skandal her yönden neysee, kızda tabiki bunu kabul etmiyor… aferin dedim amaaa bir yere kadar..
Koskoca dük sana gelmiş aşığım dıyor, sende bunu bile bile yatagına giriyorsun ve bizden olmaz. Sadece bir kerelıkti dıyorsun, bu ne lahana bu ne perhiz yani hayırdır sana, dük baya peşinden koştu , kız her defasında red etti, en son adam buna gelip

Questioning true art, exploring the artist’s role in society and the struggles of artistic expression. Very thought-provoking. Great arguments, great collection of essays. I agree with everything Camus put out here. Artists bear the burden of taking the risk of challenging established norms and it’s their duty to push boundaries and provoke thoughts. They must create dangerously, they’re the catalysts for change. A source to the salvation of humanity.
